Peugeot PUZZLE







In a basis of the concept "Peugeot PUZZLE" incorporated the principle of open architecture: the vehicle consists of interchangeable blocks. Under the motto "NO MORE CARS!" made the unlink of a motor block and car body. Each of blocks now has till 2 wheels and all necessary functions inherent only in the this block. As if in train, pulling vagons, in the motor block are the engine, fuel tank (or battery for electric motor), transmission, driving wheels. The body contains all necessary for a presence of the man and comfort driving. Each of blocks has a part of an electric equipment and brake system.

Due to absence of mechanical connection of motor block and controls, became to possible use of demountable controls. Thus it is possible to vary between joystick and more habitual sterring wheel with the block of pedals, or manual steering controls. The drive of steering axis is carried out by means of hydraulics. Also it is possible to adjust range of rotation of a sterring wheel. Besides the sterring wheel and pedals can easily be established both at the left, and on the right. It is necessary simply to insert the appropriate blocks into special jacks. Instrument panel is located in the central part.

The whole line of automobiles can use interchangeable motor compartments and car bodies. For example, it is possible to use one body and two replaceable motor compartments: with the electric motor - for cities (ecological aspect) and the diesel engine - for distant trips, and is possible, on the contrary to use one motor compartment and to change bodies. Thus instead of two machines in garage can stand... 1,5!

The connection and unlink of compartments occurs easily, for this purpose it is not necessary to address in car service center. To disconnect a motor compartment, it is enough to submit the appropriate command. From the bottom of body and motor compartment the special shipping rollers are issued, the chassis of the plane is like, further locks are released, and the compartments can be transported manually. Connection is also simply.

The problem of colour monotony of a 2-part vehicle is possible to solve as follows: the unique colour has only body compartment, and the motor block is painted in neutral colours also present and in the exterior of body. The cover of a motor block is executed from translucent plastic and visually continues lines of a frontal glass. In the future in a furnish of a motor compartment use of the materials varying colour depending on colour of attached body is possible.

In the project one of variants of a body is presented: 3-doors 4-seating Combi. This automobile is focused firstly on use as a daily vehicle and as the family automobile, however can be adapted under the sports version.

The design of the automobile is executed in style, causing associations with a Peugeot model line. Strict futuristic lines and the design elements are combined with smoothed shapes. The thin visible part of door arches gives grace. The transparent roof with sun-protect layer, large door windows, panoramic rear window makes interior by more spacious and light. The doors open forward-upwards, providing convenient landing of all passengers. Among unique elements of design - translucent caps of wheel disks, which can be highlighted from within.

The seats of the concept have unique opportunities of transformation, providing in interior not two, but four sleeping places! The forward seats are displayed and fasten at some height to door racks and on the instrument panel, instead of the demounted controls. The back seats are displayed on a floor, providing two sleeping places.

The unique design of this vehicle also reduces risk of traumas in case of car crash: at frontal impact the engine block is displaced under a floor of interior and absorbs impact force. The absence of mechanical connection of a sterring wheel with a motor compartment and front suspension also reduces risk of a trauma.
